EFFECTIVE FROM YEAR 2000

| BTEC/SCOTVEC Higher and National Certificates | |
|
The programme is divided into 3 parts:
The award of Associate Membership of The Society for Cardiological Science and Technology is not made until all parts have been successfully completed and assessed.
It is important that a system of training and continuous assessment be carried out in the workplace with written and practical assessment by the Society for Cardiological Science and Technology (S.C.S.T).
In the case of ASCST Part 1 this will take the form of a written and practical assessment in June and November each year at a designated centre.
Certificates will be issued.
ASCST 2 will take the form of a written and practical assessment. The written examination will be held in June and November each year at the same centre and dates as ASCST 1.
The practical Assessment will take place at the candidates own workplace by arrangement.
All applicants are required to be members
of SCST both at the time of application and assessment.
Application forms to sit examinations will be published in SCST Update (the
Societys' journal and Job Finder (SCST Publication).
Application forms for membership may also be obtained from SCST website (www.scst.org.uk)
The closing date for applications will be
clearly stated on the application form.
Please note that it is the responsibility of individuals taking the
examinations, to ensure that their form and fee is received by the SCST
Administrator on or before the closing date. Candidates whose finance
departments are paying the fee should apply well in advance of the closing date
and check to ensure that the form and payment have been sent in good time.
Failure of finance departments to forward the necessary paperwork to SCST by the
closing date will not result in a late application being accepted.
